Case Study: Little Comfort Farm

Little Comfort Farm is hidden away in a stunning valley near the village of West Down in North Devon. Since purchasing Little Comfort Farm, Jodie and Jeremy Ward (both ecologists) have set about creating a self catering experience with a real focus on nature. With so much fantastic scenery and wildlife on their doorstep, it was only natural that we made this site with a focus on photography and video. By visiting Little Comfort throughout the year, we were able to capture a wide range of landscapes and wildlife that feature throughout the website.

A video throughout the seasons

We spent an entire year coming back and forth to the retreat, covering all seasons and natural events such as snowfall, blue bells in the spring, lambing season, fishing and fruit collecting. All of which took place on the farm itself, we used many different filming techniques to showcase the picturesque landscapes, the drone was a key feature as we needed to portray the size of the farm and the relation to the countryside, time-lapse camera to document a period of time in short bursts all partnered with a ground based tripods and sliders.

Interactive maps

Little Comfort Farm is located near a range of activities and popular destinations including the many North Devon beaches and Exmoor National Park. To highlight this, we created a series of interactive maps that allow guests to easily see what's available around them, both before and during their stay. For guests currently staying at Little Comfort, these act as a useful guide to plan your day and integrates with Google Maps for driving directions.

Booking system

We worked closely with Little Comfort Farm's booking system, Anytime Booking, to build an integrated booking calendar. The calendars allow you to view an individual cottage's availability or all cottages together if you're undecided.
